A good end to the season!

Last shoot of the season up near Donald. The first shot was about 8.05 am. Bagged out by 8.15. Lots of lovely teals about. A few woodies and the odd black duck. But mostly teal. For once, I was hitting them. After lunch, we shot a few clays, and I was still hitting them. That’s unusual.

Great to see water in all these swamps. It’s still not full, but pretty good. Duck numbers are strong too. Even with a lot of the ducks retreating to the closed swamps (grrrr), there must be enough of the little devils about to want to change the open swamps. With all this hullabaloo about duck hunting in Victoria, I really hope this isn’t the last time I get to do this.
